cyber insurance

closing the gap between cyber security and cyber insurance

why infosure?

specialists in cyber insurance

Cyber Insurance is a specialist coverage, which requires a specialist skill set. Unlike General Insurance policies (Property, General Liability, Motor Vehicles etc), Cyber Insurance requires an understanding of both Cyber Insurance as well as IT Solutions and Cyber Security services. It’s an ever-changing landscape with a constantly moving target.

Traditionally, General Insurance brokers have relied upon IT Teams in the Cyber Insurance placement process, however this can create a divide between the IT Professional and the Insurance Broker, who both have different viewpoints, knowledge bases, and outcome desires.

Infosure works closely with IT Professionals, to enable us to be a specialist Cyber Insurance brokerage. We actively focus on the most important part of the placement. The client’s initial Cyber Resilience. We create an environment where the IT Professional and Infosure Insurance deliver a collaborative successful result to their mutual client.

At Infosure, we don’t just sell Cyber Insurance, we specialise in it.

what is cyber insurance?

cyber Insurance

Cyber Insurance policies comprise of 2 main components. First Party Losses, and Third Party Losses.

Each of these covers need to be reviewed in depth to ensure Policy Limits are adequate enough should an event occur. Policy Limits can be drained all too quickly by Professional Costs that have not been accurately calculated for the specific business.

At Infosure, we work through your existing Cyber Security protocols and IT Infrastructure in the first instance, to establish an understanding of what is required to obtain the level of Cyber Insurance Cover required for your risk. We can also work with you in tandem with our in-house IT Solutions and Cyber Security professionals if required, to ensure any gaps in the current environment are filled.

First Party Losses

First Party Losses include Incident Response Expenses, Business Interruption Costs, Data and System Recovery and Cyber Extortion.

Third Party Losses

Third Party Losses include Privacy and Network Security Liability and Media Liability.
